Dostoevsky's The Grand Inquisitor

"The Grand Inquisitor," a chapter from Dostoevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov, is one of the most famous chapters in all of literature. In it, Ivan presents a shocking and incendiary vision of organized religion to his devout brother Alyosha.
